1. Go to the “Tests, Surveys, and Pools” <\/strong>section under the\u00a0“Course Tools”<\/strong> heading in “Course Management<\/strong>” on the left side of your Blackboard course space.<\/p>\n

2. Then select the “Tests”<\/strong> section under “Test, Surveys, and Pools”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Creating tests and quizzes<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

Then select “Build Test” to begin.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Next add “Test Information<\/strong>“<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Add the Name<\/strong> of the test. Make sure the name is an accurate representaion of the it s contents. If you add multiple tests you will need to have some way of distinguishing them.<\/li>\n
  2. Also add a Description<\/strong> notes or Instructions<\/strong> here as well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Choose question types for new questions under “Create Question”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Find available questions from a pool or another test under “Reuse Question”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. Browse for a local file to “Upload Questions”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    4. Modify setting for creating each question under “Question Settings”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      To Create a New Question:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      1. Create a question by pointing to the\u00a0Create Questions\u00a0menu and choose the question type.<\/li>\n
      2. Fill in the\u00a0Question Title\u00a0and\u00a0Question Text.<\/li>\n
      3. Fill in the\u00a0Options,\u00a0Answers\u00a0and\u00a0Feedback.\u00a0 Each of these fields will vary depending on the type of question chosen.<\/li>\n
      4. ALWAYS SELECT THE SUBMIT BUTTON IN THE LOWER RIGHT-HAND CORNER, AFTER YOU CREATE A QUIZ QUESTION OR POOL OF QUESTIONS!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Deploying a Test<\/strong><\/h4>\n

        After creating a test, it is not automatically accessible to the students. You must deploy a test in a Content Area of your site in order for students to see it, and take it.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. From your Course Menu, click on the content area where students will access your test.<\/li>\n
        2. Select Test<\/strong> from the Assessment<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n
        3. Select a test or survey from the\u00a0Add Test<\/strong>\u00a0list.<\/li>\n
        4. Click the\u00a0Submit<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
        5. If you are not familiar with the test options, scroll down to bottom of the page and click the Submit<\/strong> button. You should then seek guidance from the educational technology department.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
