July 4 Reading

Dr. Roy Finkenbine, Professor of History at our McNichols Campus, was chosen as one of 70+ participants from around the nation who are cooperating in a dramatic reading of Frederick Douglass’s 1852 speech “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July.” This speech tempers our patriotism with a stern reminder of what yet needs to be done in terms of racial justice.
