Please see the attached SRP (student research program) application for current DS1, DS2, DS3, and DH1 students who would like to perform research with a Detroit Mercy Dental mentor for the year starting as early as winter term 2020 and ending at the completion of winter term 2021. To be a student researcher in the SRP you have to take a basic online research training course (CITI), report your hours of research activity at the end of each term, and present your findings at the Annual Detroit Mercy Dental Research Day (winter term each year). You must also have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.Even if you are a current SRP member and want to continue, you must apply for this next year of research.We have many areas of clinical, basic science and educational research that students work on and if you’re interested now is the time to start talking with potential mentors to decide what you might like to work on. I will be sending a list of faculty research areas in the near future in case you don’t have mentor in mind already.If you would like to apply to the SRP program, please fill out the attached form and return (e-mail) it to me (krukones@udmercy.edu) by February 3, 2020.
