All students are highly encouraged to participate in QPR suicide prevention training. QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) is a protocol for inspiring hope to individuals experiencing suicidal crises. This protocol can be used to help anyone in your life who is experiencing suicidality. At the end of this course, participants will be trained as Suicide Prevention Gatekeepers by the QPR Institute.
The three sessions offered will be identical; feel free to attend the session that best fits your schedule. All sessions will be one hour. Sessions will be online and facilitated by Dr. Juliette Daniels and Bailey Andersen.

More Information
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying ‘Yes’ to saving the life of a patient, friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. QPR Training reinforces that quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know. QPR plants the seeds of hope, which saves lives.
