What more brings people closer together than sharing a cup of coffee?
Mystery coffee dates will give you the opportunity to randomly pair with colleagues and students for zoom coffee dates. This practice facilitates student and colleague bonding, builds new relationships, provides a basis for exchanging ideas, and encourages more interaction between colleagues and students of different backgrounds.
For ASDA week of service we will be collecting non-perishable food items (canned goods, etc.) to donate to St. Anne Church! There will be a box between the clinic building and classroom building (where the temporary patient check-in was pre-covid) to drop off donations through Wednesday morning.
Starting Monday 2/1/2021, School of Dentistry Library hours will be:
Monday – Friday: 12 Noon to 8:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 12 Noon to 6:00 pm

It is time for ASDA Annual Session! This conference will take place from February 19th-21st, and is FREE for all attendees!
ASDA Annual session is the official meeting of ASDA’s House of Delegates. We will be voting on association policy, electing national and district officers, and determining what ASDA’s priorities are this year.
This is a great opportunity to learn about ASDA’s policies, voice your opinion, and help us decide on our new National and District leaders.
If you are interested in furthering your involvement with ASDA as a leader at the Detroit Mercy chapter, as a member of the District 6 Cabinet or other National positions in the future, we encourage you to apply.

AAWD has arranged for Dr. Andrada to be a speaker at a Zoom event this Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm. Dr. Andrada will be sharing her story and life experiences with us, as well as answering questions.

MLK/Black History Month Poster Competition
Create a poster design on the theme of Black History, use your imagery and graphics to express a message related to Black History.
THEME
Black History- recognize the inherent value of each person, based on principles of dignity, equality and mutual respect, which are shared across cultures and religions.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Phase 1: Open Registration (REQUIRED)
Phase 2: Submission Deadline- No later than Feb 26, 2021 (5 p.m.)
COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Entries are limited to one work per artist or artistic team.
Submit one original piece poster
Include a brief written narrative about your inspiration when you register
Artwork will be judged by IG vote and originality

IG poster judging session will be Friday, February 26, 2021, Awards will be announced on Instagram @detroitmercydental on Monday, March 1, 2021.
