MCDC Open Dentist positions in Michigan

Here’s what we’re all about at MCDC….
Compassion: During COVID-19, we rebuilt what it meant to be an employer. We put safety first and armed our providers and patients with the tools they needed to feel comfortable in the office. We pride ourselves on our patient-centered atmosphere where every patient…no matter what their knowledge of dentistry is, can come into our beautiful, state-of-the-art operatories and have a warm, comforting and quality dental experience.
Community: MCDC is a non-profit organization with 34 centers around the state of Michigan. We are focused on Michigan residents who may not have access to great dental care…or any at all. We aim to serve the underserved and make sure that every Michigan family or person has quality dental care, no matter their income or insurance.
Culture: We believe in Integrity, Compassion, Teamwork, and Stewardship. While each center operates with autonomy, we believe in giving our dentists the support they need to focus on dentistry! That means no hiring, no firing, no lab fees, no time spent on billing. What we do have is dentist study groups, regular meetings for collaboration, assistance (but not oversight) from our clinical and operations team plus every office has a full support staff!
Career: Our clinical team is dedicated to helping you learn and grow as a professional in your role. Whether you want to maintain your independence, work on a small team, or try a new location, we are here to help you achieve the next level in your career. With our competitive compensation and benefits plan (our dentists earn higher than the ADA average), we want to make sure you have the life/work balance that supports a happy and healthy career.

Corkatown Screening Questionnaire & Holiday Reminders

All School of Dentistry personnel will need to fill out a Thanksgiving Break COVID-19 Activity Screening Questionnaire before returning to campus the week of November 30th.  The form can be accessed here: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=2MKkyGi9ukC4tnUivppxcUyYRvzKJgxJnHvfqTjvkddUM1ZMTUJDSVVVTFEzMDdVWFI0SUREQzFBSi4u
Drs. Fischer and Chand will be screening each form and sending an automated approval or rejection email based on your responses.  Please submit the form no later than 3:00PM Eastern Time on Sunday, November 29th.  We ask that you do not complete the form until you are 100% sure your responses will be final so Drs. Fischer and Chand can efficiently screen the hundreds of questionnaires and not have to review multiple versions of any one individuals’ form.

You will be required to show your approval email to the public safety officer as you enter the Corktown campus next week.  Those assigned to UHC next week should show their approval email to their clinic lead or supervisor.

As you plan your holiday weekend, please keep in mind that cases of COVID-19 are surging across the nation and gatherings this weekend will likely seed hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of new infections.  Based on Georgia Tech University’s COVID-19 Event Risk Assessment Planning Tool, the odds of having a COVID-19 positive individual at a gathering in the Metro Detroit area ranges as follows:  For a 10-person gathering, the chances of having a COVID-19 positive individual present are 21-38% for Wayne County, 32-54% for Macomb County and 26-46% of Oakland County.  For a 20-person gathering the chances rise to 38-62% for Wayne County, 53-79% for Macomb County and 46-71% for Oakland County.
Many of you may also be planning on getting tested preemptively.  Please do not let a negative SARS-CoV-2 test give you a false sense of confidence.  If you contracted the virus Saturday or Sunday and were to take a test today, the odds of a false negative result would be somewhere between 50-100%.  Based on the incubation period, if you contracted the virus at this time, you would be most contagious between Wednesday and Friday and most likely to begin displaying symptoms Thursday through Saturday.

We appreciate you doing your part over the holiday break to stay safe. Please review information by the CDC for A Safe Thanksgiving and also consider other Thanksgiving Activities whether solo or as a small group.

In addition to the CDC resources, you will find information on the Titans Together Webpage regarding travel and COVID-19 related topics.
